Privacy

What we keep

• Your account: name, email, and whether you're a student or a parent.
• Profile details you choose to add: grade, graduating class, school, district, state and interests.
• The four-year plan: courses, grades you enter, and questions for the counselor.
• Approvals you record on a course, such as a principal's sign-off, with any email you paste in or file you attach. Files are stored privately and open only for the student and linked family members.
• The college list: colleges, labels, application plans, deadlines, statuses and checklists.
• Family links, and a record of who agreed to each link and when.
• The emails we sent you and whether they were delivered.
• Career guide reminders you ask for, until the guide is sent or you remove them.
• What people search for and which careers without a guide they open, as counts with no name or account attached, so we know which guides to write next. Searches are deleted after 180 days.
• If you connect a school that uses the Graduation Tracker: the verified details you allowed (such as GPA, graduation status and pathway), and a log of what was shared and when.

Families enter all of this themselves. We don't pull records from schools and don't sign data agreements with districts. School data arrives only if you connect your school, only the parts you allow, and it's used only to show it back to you. It's never used for ads or college marketing, and never sold. Disconnecting deletes it right away.

Who can see it

• A student's plan and college list: the student and up to two parents the student has linked.
• Nobody is linked until both people agree, and either one can remove the link at any time.
• Counselors and schools don't have accounts. You decide what to print or share with them.
• A small team running Nine to Next can reach the data to keep the service working and safe.

Services we use

We store data with Supabase and run the app on Cloudflare. Emails are sent through Resend. The graduation check runs on our own service and receives only the courses in the plan, never names or emails.

Your choices

• Download everything in your account, or delete it, from your Account page. Deleting is immediate and permanent.
• Turn off emails about family requests and updates on the Account page.
• Students need to be 13 or older to create their own account.
